DF652 Renault Fault Code

The DF652 fault code received in Renault vehicles is generated when abnormal values related to the exhaust gas temperature sensor data come to the ECU.

The most undesirable situation in the car is overheating, and there are sensors that measure the temperature of vehicle parts. One of them is the exhaust gas temperature sensor.

DF652 Renault Fault Code

The exhaust gas temperature sensor is located in the pipe at the outlet of the catalytic converter and its purpose is to measure the exhaust temperature and prevent damage to the catalytic converter due to excessive temperature.

Another function of the exhaust gas temperature sensor is to determine the regeneration timing of the diesel particulate filter in diesel vehicles.

The exhaust gas temperature sensor is a resistor that converts the temperature it detects into a voltage signal. Two wires are connected to this sensor. One cable receives a 5v voltage signal supply from the ECU with the other cable is grounding.

As the temperature detected by the sensor rises, its resistance decreases and its voltage increases. The lower the perceived temperature, the higher the voltage, the lower the voltage. The ECU constantly monitors the data from this sensor and adjusts the ignition timing and the amount of fuel according to the sensor data. If the data coming to the ECU is out of the values that it should be, an error code is generated.

If the exhaust gas temperature has risen according to the exhaust gas temperature sensor data, this suggests the possibility of a possible catalytic converter failure.

Possible problems with the vehicle with fault code DF652:

  • Differentiation in smoke color
  • Lighting of the DPF lamp
  • The vehicle does not work

When the DF652 fault code is received, it is also possible that there is no complaint in the vehicle that the driver may notice. However, the driver should not neglect this malfunction and should take his vehicle to repair.

DF652 fault code brief description: Exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit

In this case, I wonder if the sensor is defective, the circuit is defective, or are they intact and there is a catalytic converter malfunction, it is necessary to determine these issues.

Causes of DF771 fault code:

  • The cable of the fuel pressure regulator may have come loose.
  • The connector of the fuel pressure sensor may be rusted, contaminated.
  • The fuel pressure regulator may be leaking.
  • The fuel pump may be faulty.
  • The fuel filter may be clogged.
  • The cables to the ECU may be corroded.
  • There may be an ECU malfunction.

DF771 Renault fault code solution

  • First, it should be checked whether there are problems with the sensor cables or connections. Perhaps there is nothing wrong with the car, the error code may have occurred because the sensors could not read the data correctly.
  • If the diesel fuel pressure switch is faulty, the DF771 fault code can be obtained because the fuel pressure cannot be read correctly. This sensor must be checked.
  • If there is no wiring error in the vehicle, if the sensors are intact, it is checked whether the fuel pressure regulator performs its function.
  • A common problem in this regard is the clogging of the fuel filter or the failure of the fuel pump due to the neglect of periodic maintenance of the vehicle.
  • These two aspects also prevent the fuel pressure regulator from doing its job.
