DF012 Renault Fault Code

The DF012 fault code received on Renault vehicles is a fault code synchronized with the P0651 fault code and tells us that the “sensor supply voltage number 2 is incorrect”. Why ?

Today’s vehicles are controlled by the ECU, and if one of the systems does not work, a fault code generated by the ECU gives an idea of what the problem is.

DF012 Renault Fault Code

Possible problems with the vehicle with the Renault fault code DF012:

  • The engine fault lamp will light up on the instrument panel.
  • It will be understood that there is a pronounced lack of power in the vehicle.
  • There may be misfire problems in the engine.
  • The vehicle will have problems such as difficult starting, stopping.
  • Fuel efficiency will decrease, fuel cost will increase.
  • There may be problems such as being stuck in gear, not shifting gears.

What is the DF012 Renault fault code?

  • Injection-Sensor supply voltage no. 2
  • Transmission- Solenoid valve supply
  • Air conditioning – Distribution motor circuit
  • UCH – Right indicator circuit
  • Parking – Parking proximity sensor switch indicator light
  • Engine compartment connection unit – ALTERNATOR

The scanning devices provide these explanations for the DF012 fault code. The correct interpretation of these explanations is a very important factor in finding the fault quickly and keeping the repair cost low.

Causes of the DF012 fault code:

  • There may be a relay failure in the vehicle
  • There may be a problem with the charging dynamo
  • Battery connections can be problematic.
  • The battery may be low.
  • There may be a problem with insurance.
  • There may be an electrical leak in the vehicle.
  • There may be no electricity going to the sensor supply circuit.
  • There is no electricity going to the solenoid valve supply, or it may be faulty.
  • The air conditioner motor may be broken or the electricity is not going.
  • There may be a slack in the wiring to the uch brain, or there may not be enough electricity going to the uch brain.
  • The parking sensor circuit may be faulty or the wiring connections may be problematic.
  • There may be a brain malfunction

  • In order to be able to identify the source of this malfunction, the sensor circuits mentioned above must be checked one by one. But before that, it should be checked whether there is an electrical leak in the car, whether there is a short circuit, whether there has been no relay failure, whether the fuse is intact, whether there is no problem with the battery.
  • Since there are a lot of electrical components in the new generation vehicles, there are also a lot of electrical faults. The vehicles are covered with a giant cable network. By electrical circuit, socket, relay, sensor of each system, too much load is placed on both the battery, the vehicle brain and the main relay, short circuit and malfunction problems are common compared to old vehicles due to the wear of the cables or water leakage into the circuits while cleaning.
  • When fault codes indicating that there is no electricity to more than one electrical circuit, such as the DF012 fault code, are received, it should first be checked whether there is a problem with the electrical supply in the vehicle.
  • The main factor that feeds this entire electrical system mentioned is the battery, what also charges the battery is the alternator. If there is a problem with these, there will not be enough electricity going to some electrical circuits and the ECU will generate a fault code.
  • Since the DF012 fault code also indicates an alternator malfunction, it must first be confirmed that the alternator is working properly, that the battery is sufficiently charged.
  • If there is no problem with the charging system, issues such as looseness, rust, the possibility of disconnection in the battery connections and the reduction of battery life are evaluated.
  • If there is no problem with the battery slider, it is confirmed whether there is a problem that leads to a short circuit in the vehicle, whether the main relay and fuse are intact.
  • If there is no indication of a malfunction in the general controls, the parts mentioned above are checked one by one and replaced if necessary.
  • If there is no physical defect in the vehicle, there may be a problem related to the vehicle brain. Problems such as card error, software error are evaluated.
